July 2008 Meeting Minutes and Update
The June 17 meeting of the Elgin Arts Association was an
enjoyable potluck dinner with delicious summer foods and great
company! Members present discussed EAA's role in upcoming Art Walks.
Sarah Page handled many coordination duties for the June Art Walk,
which is a LOT of work for one person. Sarah has compiled a list of
the tasks she performed so they may be divided among several
individuals. Hopefully we can have a rotating schedule of volunteers
for these tasks to enable Art Walks to flourish. More information
will be provided in the near future.
Children's works of art from the May and June Art Walks was judged
at the June meeting. It's wonderful to see we have so many budding
artists in our community!
The Elgin Arts Association will meet at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 15 at
the First National Bank on Hwy 290. All artists and supporters of
the arts are welcome to attend.
