Elgin Arts Association Hosts 20th Annual Pearls Art Show
Elgin, Texas – Mark your calendars! The 20th Annual Pearls Art Show is going to be an event to remember. The 3-day show will be held at 105 W. 2nd Street (Back Forty Chiropractic and Rain Deer Productions) in historic downtown Elgin. The show kicks off with an opening reception from 7:00 to 9:30 the evening of October 22 and will feature fine works of art from some of our most talented local artists.
While you’re at the show, be sure to check out the items for bid at the silent auction. Proceeds from the auction are used to fund scholarships for students in our community wishing to continue their education in the arts. Many of the auction items are one-of-a-kind works of art donated by artists, so the auction provides the perfect opportunity to add to your art collection while benefiting a worthy cause!
Artist Entry Deadline Nears
Local artists are invited to submit work for selection. Works will be selected using the blind jury process. For an application and guidelines, please contact Cheridah Vaughn at 512-281-3805. You may also download the application from the Elgin Arts Association website - www.elginartsassociation.com. Applications can be mailed to Pearls Art Show, c/o Cheridah Vaughn, 19 N. Avenue A, Elgin, Texas 78621. Applications should be postmarked no later than September 24 or hand-delivered by October 1.
The 20th Annual Pearls Art Show is generously supported by the Elgin Arts Association and local businesses, and is coordinated entirely by volunteers. Back Forty Chiropractic and Rain Deer Productions have graciously provided the space for the event.
