Who we are
The Elgin Arts Association (EAA) is an organization dedicated to furthering artistic understanding and encouraging artistic growth by promoting interest, education, knowledge and skill in the arts. The Elgin Arts Association (EAA) is a non-profit organization of artists, artisans and community members joined together to promote artistic talents in Elgin and the surrounding areas. We are artists, gardeners, office workers, parents, and teachers. We are the guy who works at the grocery and the woman who works at the restaurant. We are all neighbors, and we support the arts in Elgin!
Where We ARe Headed
Establish a Cultural District by working with the City of Elgin and county officials
Establish a non-profit gallery/arts center in the historic downtown district
Create more opportunities for EAA members to show their work
Create opportunities for children (home schooled & public school) to play creatively and find their talent in the arts..
What We Do
SCHOLARSHIPS We provide scholarships for Elgin community high school seniors who are pursuing higher education in the field of art. YOUNG ARTISTS We host the Pearls of Youth Art Show each spring to provide a venue for all school age children in Elgin and the surrounding area to show their artwork. ELG IN ARTISTS We host the Pearls Before Swine Art Show and Reception, in conjunction with the Elgin Hogeye event, where Elgin artists display and sell their artwork. VARIETY EAA supports music, drama, literature and dance as well as two and threedimensional art.
