PEARLS OF YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP: Applications Due March 22, 2023 This year, the Elgin Arts Association will be offering three scholarships. Two for $2000 and the Shirley Bowlin Memorial Scholarship for $2500. These scholarships are for EISD graduating seniors, EAA members and homeschoolers who reside within the EISD attendance boundary who plan to continue studies in any of the arts. Strongest consideration will be given to students matriculating to institutions that have degree plans in disciplines considered art or fine art. Scholarship money will be sent directly to the receiving institution. Good luck! Questions may be directed to jwahrmund@gmail.com EAA has awarded 25 scholarships since 2010 ranging from $1,000-$1,500. Our Scholarship fund has grown with community support from our local patrons and business sponsors. We applaud everyone who has given loose change and dollars into tip jars at events, and all those who donated and purchased items at our Silent Auctions for the annual Pearls Scholarships., and given donations at our pop-up events. These scholarship funds go directly towards their college tuition, and we celebrate these recipients for furthering their education in the arts. |
